Photography Class Fit Check
Another incredible semester is complete teaching photography with Sheridan Continuing and Professional Studies (CAPS). I wanted to do a "fit check" with a compilation of a few of my favourite outfits while I was doing my instruction. Bear in mind, a lot of these are on field trips where I am walking around in public with the "normals" and any students that can stand to be seen with me outside of the classroom.
Teaching isn't just about relaying the information; it's also about keeping the content relatable, memorable, and fun! As an instructor teaching a skill-based course that requires students to continually practice in their own time, my number one goal is to keep them motivated to just shoot photos. If it takes them longer than my time with them to really understand the technical aspects of photography, I am fine with that as long as they leave my classroom with high spirits and an enthusiasm to keep practicing.
So if I need to walk around in a Dumbledore beard and top hat for them to remember this class, smile, and dust off that camera on the shelf... then by golly, I'll wear that annoying beard every day.
Spring semester is open for registrations so if you would like to join my class, you can register here: https://caps.sheridancollege.ca/index.cfm?method=ClassInfo.ClassInformation&int_class_id=2186&int_category_id=2&int_sub_category_id=6&int_catalog_id=0
