The student becomes the teacher.

I don't get interviewed that often but here we are! Okay, story time.

This is Jen. Roughly 25+ years ago, Jen was my tutor teaching me subjects like math, science, and English.

Fast forward to just last summer and we bumped into one another while walking our dogs. We had a rough idea of what we each looked like due to facebook but we hadn't seen or spoken in 2 decades.

But we quickly realized we now live 3 minutes away from one another and when Jen discovered that I was teaching photography with the Sheridan College CAPS program, she decided to take my course.

And now the student has become the teacher and I am teaching her 25+ years later. We were asked to be interviewed a few weeks ago to tell the story of our serendipity and I snapped this shot before Jen's interview telling everyone what a harsh and brutal teacher I am (kidding!).

I just thought it was super cool to come full circle with Jennifer and become friends and colleagues in two completely different stages of life.
