Capturing fireworks!

I recently had a really fun gig that culminated in a fireworks show. I was told in the weeks leading up to it that it was a pretty long show so I would have about 30 minutes to shoot it. Then, on the day of the gig, I spoke to the folks actually setting up the fireworks and they said, "It's over in 5 minutes." Eeek! Gotta change my plan of attack!

So I set up two cameras and ran around trying to time it out to capture good moments from various angles. In 5 minutes, I was only able to get two angles because I have to guess the right timing, it takes a while for the camera to take the photo, and then if it's not good, I have to redo it. All while running back and forth to get multiple angles as well as other shots like audience reactions and such. It was a challenge but I always enjoy it and going back at the end of the night to check the final results is like opening a fresh pack of pokemon cards and not knowing what you're going to pull!
