Creating work shirts!
I know it’s really affordable nowadays to make custom apparel with all these dropshipping companies, but I wanted to find a more environmentally-friendly way of creating work shirts for myself by just customizing old shirts I have laying around rather than creating more fast-fashion waste. A lot of people don't realize that polyester fabric is basically petroleum plastic and creates a lot of microplastic waste so I didn't want to buy more clothing when I already have a bunch in my closet.
I think getting iron-on patches might be the best route in the future if I want something more polished, but our friends brought over these blocks that we can carve our own designs into so I thought it would be fun to try to stamp my logo onto shirts with fabric paint. I gotta work out the kinks and get a cleaner press, but I think it’s got some potential!
