Combining seasons in a photo

This was an photography idea I had in the fall time that I wanted to try. It didn't quite turn out the way that I was hoping it would but I still think it's a neat idea that I will revisit in the future and try to perfect. I got a reclaimed picture frame for free that was going to be thrown away and by posing as close as possible across two images, we can showcase two locations in one photo -- or in this case, two seasons in one photo.

Contrast is key. I might try this in a day to night, or one desert country to a rainforest country.... lots of ways this idea could be cool. But this was just the first try and I need to hone how to frame and pose it more exact when I can't just leave a tripod there for 4 months.
